Under the NCAA’s new NIL rules, Elevation Basketball will use its extensive experience to help college athletes capitalise on their name, image and likeness while they continue to benefit from their respective college programs.
With years of experience in building successful athlete brands in the USA and abroad, the Elevation Basketball team will develop strategic marketing plans around each clients individual interests and goals. MICHAEL OAKES
President
Michael Oakes is the President of basketball at the Elevation team. Holding certification with International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and a degree in Sports Management from Deakin University (Australia). Michael has over 10 years experience in international basketball and as a result is equipped to handle athletes at all levels regardless of the situation that may present.
GREG JAVARDIAN
Vice President
Greg has a background in sports law and sports management. He also has over a decade’s worth of experience working in the basketball industry, including with a prominent NBA agency and scouting service. Greg's responsibilities at Elevation include basketball recruiting, player management, contract negotiation, and marketing services to our global clientele. Greg is NBPA accredited and his experience has him perfectly situated to understand what is required of a player both within the NBA and internationally.
DECLAN SOUKUP
Player Representative
Declan is a former collegiate and professional athlete, having played in Europe after a 5 year NCAA career. Prior to his collegiate career, Declan was a Development Player for the Gold Coast Blaze (NBL) and a member of the U19 Australian National Team in 2012. Declan has first hand exposure to talent pathways both domestically and abroad, and a thorough understanding of the basketball landscape globally. With qualifications in both Business Management (Assumption University) and Law (Monash University), Declan now looks to create and maintain meaningful, lasting relationships with athletes in an effort to help maximise their opportunities on and off the floor.
